Frequently asked questions
Getting started, using Vela and keeping your information private. For memberships and access, see the Plans page.
Getting started
- What is LifeVela for?
- LifeVela brings your work and personal plans together. Keep track of money, health, routines and relationships. Ask Vela to prepare for a meeting, help with a client follow-up, compare your options or work out a manageable week.
- How do I get started?
- Compare paid memberships on the Plans page. Paid checkout is not open yet; creating an account does not purchase a plan or start a free trial.
- What is the Life Score?
- Life Score is a 0–100 reading based on what you’ve recorded across six Life areas. Some areas may have no reading until there is enough information. It is a starting point for reflection, not a grade, diagnosis or measure of your worth. An unrecorded day is not a failed day.
Plans and availability
- Is there a free plan?
- No. Vela Basic is US$9.99 monthly or US$4.99 per month paid annually: US$59.88 upfront for one year. The Plans page also lists Personal, Personal Pro, Family and Company memberships. Connected email and calendar features are on the way.
- Can I buy a membership?
- Paid memberships are not open for purchase yet. Monthly plans will offer optional autopay or manual payment by invoice or payment link. Annual plans are paid upfront and renewed manually. Included features, usage and applicable taxes will be shown before payment. Registering interest does not charge you or change your access.
- Do I get a 14-day Pro trial?
- Creating an account does not start a Pro trial. If you have trial or pilot access, you’ll find its terms in your account.
- What is the refund policy?
- We’ll publish the refund terms before paid subscriptions open. No paid subscription can be purchased at present.
Records and features
- What is Life Thread?
- Life Thread is your private journal, separate from conversations with Vela. Its entries are included in new data exports. The optional passcode locks the journal screen; it is not end-to-end encryption. If you copy an entry into Vela, that message follows Vela’s data-use terms.
- Where do I keep tasks and small reminders?
- Keep them in your private task list, reachable from Life and Vela. Add “Call Dad this weekend” or the next step after a client meeting. Tasks, due dates and repeat reminders help you keep track; they don’t turn a prepared reply into a sent message.
- Can LifeVela connect to my health app or wearable?
- You can add health records yourself in the web preview. Automatic Apple Health, Health Connect and wearable syncing are not available there yet.
- How can Vela help with work?
- Bring the last client conversation, meeting notes and open questions together. Vela helps prepare the meeting brief or next reply, keeps promises in view and makes it easier to pass work to a colleague. You review the details and choose what to share.
- Can Vela send messages, book things, or change my calendar?
- Vela helps research options, prepare replies and work out the details. You review and send the message, make the booking or confirm the change yourself. The interactive website examples are illustrations, not actions in your accounts.
Teams
- Is LifeVela for Teams available?
- Team access opens at launch. LifeVela for Teams brings together client commitments, meeting decisions, useful work notes and handovers. Contact us to discuss the work your team needs help with.
- Would my employer see my personal records?
- No. Joining a team does not open your personal Life records, private inbox or conversations to your employer. Share the work notes and plans the team needs; your individual scores, health records and personal logs stay private.
Privacy and data
- Who can see my personal data?
- Other people do not gain access to your personal records because you join a family or team plan. LifeVela uses service providers to run the product. The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled, who may access it and how long it is kept.
- Can I export or delete my data?
- Open Data & Privacy and choose Save my data in desktop Chrome or Edge. The resumable JSON folder includes the named records shown there, including Life Thread entries and saved private Vela conversations. Sign-in credentials, provider data and private operational records are excluded. Existing folders keep their original scope when resumed. For a broader access request, email privacy@lifevela.com. Start account deletion in Settings; the Privacy Policy explains limited backup and legal retention.
- Does LifeVela use AI on my data?
- Vela uses AI services to respond to the messages you send it. Life Thread journal entries are kept separate and are not sent to AI. Before sharing information, check the feature’s data-use explanation and the Privacy Policy for details.
